The publication project Henrik Ibsen`s writings is working to produce a new historical-critical and annotated edition of all Ibsen`s writings. The first volumes will be published this year.
Henrik Ibsen`s writings is the hitherto largest publication project in Norway. It is being funded by the Norwegian Research Council in co-operation with the Universities of Oslo, Bergen and Trondheim, The Sør-Trøndelag University College, as well as the National Library in Oslo. The work commenced in 1998 and will continue for ten years.
The edition will be published both in book form and electronic form. The book edition will be published by Aschehoug Publishing House and extend to 30 volumes: fifteen volumes of text and fifteen volumes of commentaries.
The project has been located together with the Centre for Ibsen Studies in the Observatory in Oslo.
